Stirling Ultracold recently had the privilege of gifting a portable ULT25NEU ultra-low temperature freezer to the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College Kidd Math & Science Center as they continue expanding their research departments and building their capabilities for long-term sample storage.

We’re grateful that their team reached out to us and chose Stirling Ultracold to help support their growing research needs. It was especially meaningful to have our CEO, Clayton Newman, meet with the team, unbox the ULT25, and walk them through getting started and operating their new freezer.

We believe that supporting scientific progress goes beyond the equipment we build. It’s about helping researchers access the tools they need to explore new possibilities, make discoveries, and advance their work.

Thank you to the University of Rio Grande for choosing Stirling Ultracold. We’re proud to play a small part in what comes next for your research team!

About Stirling Ultracold and Global Cooling: Global Cooling, Inc. manufactures and sells Stirling Ultracold freezers, a new generation of environmentally friendly ultra-low storage solutions which operate between -20°C and -100°C. These freezers do not use compressor-based or cascade refrigeration systems. They use patented free-piston Stirling engine technology that was originally developed for energy, aerospace and industrial applications before successful commercial application in ultra-low temperature cooling systems.
